21st Century Icon Awards launched in London on the 25th of November to recognize the Next Generation by Tarun Ghulati– Founder and Chief Executive Officer with 27 years of global experience in financial services and Preeti Rana-Founder, Chief Creative Officer, Squared Watermelon Ltd.
Eminent judges such as The Rt Hon. the Baroness Prashar CBE, Member of The House of Lords and Deputy Chairman British Council, Hugo van Vredenburch, Former Partner and Managing Director, Goldman Sachs and Chairman Interactive Investor and David Sayer, Vice Chairman Financial Services and Former Board Member, KPMG were part of it.
On this occasion, Journalism News Network team interviewed the founders of the 21st Century Icon awards and below are the excerpts.

How did this idea about “21st Century Icon Awards” came to your mind.
At Squared Watermelon, we are passionate about the Next Generation and have deep knowledge and insight on the Next Generation of inheritors. This knowledge is backed by research, focus group sessions and personal interactions. There are no existing Awards which recognize the Next Generation. We created the 21st Century Icon Awards to ‘Celebrate Success of the Next Generation’.
Main Objective of the 21st Century Icon awards.
To be the ultimate platform for successful individuals, their businesses and the next generation of inheritors with entities and individuals most likely to connect
and interact with them.

How many applicants applied and how many were nominated/won.
We received 110 applications of which 47 were selected as Finalists and 24 Winners were ultimately selected by the Panel of Judges at the CNBC studios.
Your future vision with the award.
These Awards will become an important part of the London calendar every year. We are also taking them to the USA next year. We expect these Awards to be the preeminent Awards Globally for the Next Generation of Achievers.
