‘Arts for India’ Golden Gala event held at BAFTA London

Arts For India charity star-studded Golden Gala event was held at BAFTA, London for a noble cause on the 31st May 2017.

The spectacular event showcased an awards ceremony and an auction to raise money for the welfare of underprivileged children in India.

Speaking on this occasion with Subodh Gupta, Editor Journalism News Network UK, Shekhar Kapur said “In India there is so much talent, they need opportunity. There is a huge artistic reserve in India but there is not enough opportunity.So Arts for India can give that opportunity and that’s amazing”.

Baahubali star Tamannaah Bhatia commented on Arts for India charity event, “It’s a great initiative. Charity is something we all must do. I am very lucky to whatever I have and the least I can do is to give back to people… I congratulate Satish Modi ji”.

The star list included Academy award winning film director Shekhar Kapur, Director of the superhit film Fanna, Kunal Kohli, Baahubali actress, Tamannah Bhatia, Games of Thrones star Laura Pradelska, Gemma Oaten of Emmerdale, Actor & Producer Sachiin Joshi, Kunjue Li, eminent artist Yash Kohli and International actress Amy Jackson.

Guests were treated to a three-course meal. The live auction was gracefully hosted by Chris Hopkins and the whole auction process was fun.

Auction items included walk on part in a Bollywood film, a one-on-one with Dragons Den Star James Caan on his yacht in Monaco, a three day charter on board a 5* yacht in the Mediterranean, etc.

Eminent artist Yash Kohli ji commented that “Arts for India is a wonderful philanthropic concept working for underprivileged children. It has many exchange program for example with Columbia University where we have an exchange of student and teachers which are rare for underprivileged children in India”.

She added, “Art may not be very paying to begin as it takes years to built up reputation but it is something very creative and god gifted talent which one must pursue”

Shri Satish Modi, the founder of Arts For India, commented, “Arts For India is grateful to all our supporters. “The Golden Gala has now become a prestigious star-studded event for a worthy cause, supporting underprivileged children in India.”
