First Time in India Robots as cleaner at International Airport

Get ready for a clean sweep, India-style as Robots are going to be involved in cleaning operations at the international airport in Thiruvananthapuram in India’s Kerala state.

Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram airport is about to get a super cool new worker – a robot! This isn’t your ordinary vacuum cleaner instead this robot is a tough guy, built to clean up the yucky stuff in the airport’s drains and canals.

Imagine a machine that can dive into dirty water, munch through & come out sparkling clean! That’s exactly what this robot can do. It’s like having a superhero for your sewers.

This is a big deal for India. It’s the first time a robot will be used to clean up an International airport like this. It’s a smart move too. Robots can do dangerous jobs without putting people at risk. Plus, they work really fast and don’t get tired.

So, next time you fly into Thiruvananthapuram, keep an eye out. You might just spot India’s newest and shiniest employee hard at work!

The robotics company Genrobotic Innovations will use the robot in the cleaning operations. The airport operator, Adani enterprises, has reached an agreement towards this. The robot is expected to be handed over in 60 days, according to Genrobotic CEO Vimal Govind, who spoke to Manoramaonline website.

The robot, Wilboar, is described by Genrobotic as “cutting-edge robotic rover designed for efficiently cleaning sludge and waste within large industrial confined spaces.” It is being called the world’s first robotic scavenger.
