Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) India’s largest software exporter which was once sued over hiring bias in the US has been selected
by German aviation company Lufthansa AG to support its IT transformation in a multi-million dollar deal.

In addition to testing services, TCS will help improve the quality of services of Lufthansa’s technology operations.
It will set up a test factory model across Lufthansa to streamline and standardize their testing processes, reduce capital expenditure and implement next generation services.
Lufthansa was looking for an Indian software major to streamline its testing operations in addition to cost cutting.
According to TCS director, Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, “Simplification of processes and systems is crucial to meet the changing demands of customers in today’s digital age”. He added Lufthansa has been a client for TCS in the past as well and it has been investing in operations and talent base in Germany.
TCS already serves clients such as British Airways, Qantas through its overseas operations.
