Kuwait Airways Review

I used this flight once from Delhi to London sector.

Website booking interface seems simple and the website is not clumsy for the booking process although while booking there was a warning sign in the end which then I send email to Kuwait Airways Indian team along with a screenshot. They did reply after one day but didn't clarify what was the issue.

Positive aspect:
The aircraft and leg space were spacious indeed as compared to most other airlines which fly on Delhi London sector.

Negative aspect:
The connecting flight from Kuwait to London flew before our Delhi to Kuwait flight reached (resulted in 6 HOURS DELAYED) and on the Kuwait airport there were no coordination and passengers for the connecting flight were on their own to find the right officials to collect new boarding pass and gate and I ended up 6 hours waiting at the airport for no fault of mine.

Unlike other European airlines who follow the EU rules on compensation (where in case of delays they compensate you for the loss of time and inconvenience), I find Kuwait Airways evading response & their Group leader handling the compensation complaints even try to lie to avoid paying.

“After following Kuwait Airways complaint procedure, I finally submitted my complaint to CEO of Kuwait Airways, Hamad Abdullatif Al-Falah, Chief Executive Officer, with my booking reference: RVQHBE:

I am writing to complain about an issue with compensation related to Flights delay of 6 hours.

UIA Ukraine Airlines Reviews

I have already raised my issue within your organization, , unfortunately, , the operational director didn’t reply since last 25 days and Explanation given by S. Thomas, Group Leader, CUSTOMER RELATIONS is Misleading and Incorrect.

S. Thomas states that “As per records, all possible assistance was given to you in the given situation and were provided with hotel, meals, and transport”.
The above statement is MISLEADING as no such hotel was provided. Also since no hotel was provided so no transport. I am amazed how can Kuwait Airways responsible Group Leader give such misleading and irresponsible statement?

Besides, if you may like, you may please also refer to additional new EU ruling which clearly states that “as long as the customer is flying to or from an EU territory with a stopover in a non-EU territory, he is entitled to get compensation for any delays that might occur – even if they happen on part of the journey that’s outside the EU.”

Based on the length of the delay and the scheduled flight length, I am therefore seeking fixed compensation as specified in EC 261/2004.

I would appreciate if you please look into it and help to resolve this issue at the earliest to save time either side”.

But Kuwait airways didn’t resolve the issue nor their CEO replied but their group leader S Thomas did reply accepting lie “Dear Mr. Gupta, With apologies, I would like to mention that a sentence with hotel/meals provided was typed by error”.

I also find that the toilets were not very clean at the Kuwait airport although Kuwait airline aircraft was spacious and clean.

Kuwait Airways is the national carrier of Kuwait, with its head office on the grounds of Kuwait International Airport, Al Farwaniyah Governorate. It was born in 1954. Initially, Kuwait Airways Company served a limited network of Abadan, Beirut, Damascus, and Jerusalem only.

Air India Review

Kuwait Airways entered the jet age in 1962 by leasing a Comet 4-C, the world’s first jet-engined airliner. In the 1960s, the national carrier rapidly expanded its route map, and scheduled services to London begun three times a week. Kuwait Airways aims to re-establish to reach more than 46 countries around the globe.

Questions related to Kuwait Airways:

Is Kuwait Airways safe to travel?
I believe that in terms of safety, Kuwait Airways is safe as they are flying to Europe, however, in terms of time reliability may be not so much. They may have delays in their flight.

Is alcohol allowed in Kuwait Airways?
I think just like in other Arab airlines, Kuwait Airways kuwaitairways.com doesn’t serve alcohol or allow its passengers to carry or consume the alcohol and I believe when one is traveling through them one must respect their customs.

Is transit visa required for Kuwait?
I miss my connecting flight to London as my previous Kuwait airline flight was late and spent 6 hours at Kuwait Airport and I didn’t need any transit visa so I believe No transit visa is needed as long as you are staying within the airport. Perhaps you need to think about a visa if you are going out of the airport to Kuwait.
